Swedish Center is four years old!

Yesterday, June, 16, 2005, conference-hall of the Swedish Center (Semashko st., 5-B) was hosting a celebratory ceremony, devoted to the fourth anniversary of the Swedish Center in Nizhny Novgorod. The celebration was participated by regional and municipal authorities, participants of mobility project "Universities as Hubs for Regional Development", winners of the "SMORGASBORD" contest and members of the Swedish Club.
At the very beginning of the ceremony A. N. Zaytsev, Director of the Swedish Center, read off a greeting telegram from Y. P. Senturin, RF State Duma deputy from Nizhny Novgorod region, and a letter from Mr. Johan Molander, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Russia.
The Swedish Center was congratulated on its fourth anniversary by:
- Head of School and Higher Education Department of the regional Ministry of Education and Science I. L. Zakharov;
- Vice-Director of the Industrial Policy and External Economic Relations Department of the City Administration D. N. Nikishin;
- Director of the Japanese Center in Nizhny Novgorod Mr. Tanemura Hiroo;
- Editor of the "Birzha+Kariera" weekly I. O. Panchenko;
- Assistant Director for Regional Development of "MaTEC.Yakovlev and Partners" Law Office B. M. Kalashnikov and other guests.
After the greeting speeches, the graduates of Swedish language courses have received the graduate certificates.
Then there was an announcement of results of the culinary contest "SMORGASBORD". Winners as well as most active participants have received the awards and prizes, sponsored by "Tele2 - Nizhny Novgorod" Company and "Birzha+Kariera" weekly.
The celebration was culminated by the festive dinner.
